Documents are reviewed in the Editor window in the Editor view. You can have several documents open at
the same time but only the active document can be edited or saved. To edit a target language segment, simply
click inside the segment and start typing. There are two different levels of
review that you can use depending on how many review cycles your business
practices require:
·
Open for Review
·
Open for Sign-off
NOTE
|
Opening a file for sign-off is an additional
review that you can perform after a file has been opened for review.
|
Editor Configuration
When a document is opened for review or sign-off, the Review configuration or Sign-off configuration is used. This means
that the layout of the windows is designed to facilitate tasks you need to
perform while reviewing. The Comments window is automatically displayed
at the bottom of the application in order to allow you to enter review comments
for the translations. The statuses you can assign to a translation also change
depending on if the document is open for review or sign-off.
NOTE
|
When you open a file for review or sign-off,
any changes you make to the text are automatically tracked. For more
information, see Track Suggested Changes.
|
Open for Review
If you open a document for review, you can confirm (Translation
Approved) or reject (Translation Rejected) a translation. When you
finish reviewing the document:
·
If any segments have a status of Translation Rejected, the status of the document
changes to Translation Rejected.
·
If all segments have a status of Translation Approved, the status of the
document changes to Translation Approved to indicate that no
further work needs completing.
Open for Sign-off
If you open a document for sign-off, you can confirm (Signed
Off) or reject (Sign-off Rejected) a translation. When you finish
reviewing the document:
·
If any segments have a status of Sign-off Rejected, the
status of the document changes to Sign-off Rejected.
·
If all segments have a status of Signed Off, the status of
the document changes to Signed Off to indicate that no further work
needs completing.
