This topic describes how to perform a concordance search in the Editor
view.
To perform a concordance search in the Editor view, you can:

Open the Concordance Search window and type or paste some search text into the text box.
Choose whether you want to search in the source or target segments of the
translation memory and press Enter.

Select text in the Editor window and use keyboard shortcuts to
perform a concordance search.

Enable the Perform search if the TM lookup returns no results option
in the Concordance Search Window. This
will automatically run a concordance search when the translation memory
search for a selected segment does not generate any results. By default, this
option is disabled.

Select some text in a source language segment or target language
segment and press Ctrl+F3.

Select some text in a source segment and press F3.

Select some text in a source language segment or target language
segment and press Ctrl+Shift+F3.

Select some text in a target segment and press F3.

You may not be able to use target language
segments in concordance searches. The ability to search target language
entries is optional and the decision to allow their use is made when the
translation memory is created or when you edit the translation memory
properties.

To insert a search result into your translation in the Editor
window:
1.
Place the cursor in the target language segment where you want the
text to appear.
2.
Examine the results in the Concordance Search window and
highlight the translation you want to use.

Press F6 to switch between the source and target segments in your search
results.

3.
Press Ctrl+Alt+F3 to insert the text.
