Creating and managing projects

SDL Trados Studio is a project-based translation management system. All files are translated and managed as part of a project, which may contain a single file or many files for translation into one language or several languages. It may also contain reference material, translation memories (TMs), termbases, AutoSuggest dictionaries and instructions for translators.

To get started, SDL recommends completing the exercises in the quick start guides. These guides will get you up and running quickly with SDL Trados Studio. The guides contain a series of lessons which you can go through in sequence from the first lesson to the last.

Trados Studio incorporates project management and computer-aided translation (CAT) tools for use by project managers, translators, editors, proofreaders and other language professionals. These are presented in easy-to-use views which you can arrange to look and work the way that you prefer.

How to View and Work with a Report

You can perform all of the actions below in the Reports view.

NOTE	If you want to change what the report will look like when it is viewed, previewed, printed or saved, click Home tab > Reports group > Page Setup to display the Page Setup dialog box where you can change the headers and footers, paper size, page orientation and margins.
