Performing Analysis with Tracked Changes

When the Analyze Files, Word Count or Translation Count tasks are run on the files in a project, tracked changes in the source segments are treated as if they are accepted. Lookups in the TM are also based on the accepted tracked changes.

NOTE
This behavior is different from how segments are looked up during interactive translation in the Editor and pre-translation.
The analysis results are shown in the:
·         Confirmation statistics and analysis statistics shown in the Projects view and Files view.
·         Confirmation statistics shown in the Studio task bar when you have a document open in the Editor.
·         Analyze Files, Word Count and Translation Count reports in the Reports view.
Pre-translation
When the Pre-translate Files task is run, the Pre-translate Files report is generated.
Source segments with tracked changes are pre-translated during the task. A lookup for these segments is first made in the TM with the tracked changes rejected:
·         If an exact match (100%) is found, it applies the translation. The translation in the target segment is counted in the Translated count in the report.
·         If no exact match is found with the tracked changes rejected, a second lookup is then performed with the tracked changes accepted. If a match is found, it applies the translation. The translation in the target segment is counted in the Translated count in the report.
This report is different to the other reports in how it treats tracked changes but is consistent with how the task is performed for applying matches from the TM with tracked changes rejected.
