How to Perform a Concordance Search

This topic describes how to perform a concordance search in the Editor view.
To perform a concordance search in the Editor view, you can:

·         Open the Concordance Search window and type or paste some search text into the text box. Choose whether you want to search in the source or target segments of the translation memory and press Enter.
·         Select text in the Editor window and use keyboard shortcuts to perform a concordance search.
·         Enable the Perform search if the TM lookup returns no results option in the Concordance Search Window. This will automatically run a concordance search when the translation memory search for a selected segment does not generate any results. By default, this option is disabled.

You may not be able to use target language segments in concordance searches. The ability to search target language entries is optional and the decision to allow their use is made when the translation memory is created or when you edit the translation memory properties.
To insert a search result into your translation in the Editor window:
1.     Place the cursor in the target language segment where you want the text to appear.
2.     Examine the results in the Concordance Search window and highlight the translation you want to use.
