Single-File Translation Workflow
This
is an example of a workflow for translating a file. This simply allows you to
translate, verify and then generate your translated document. If this is your
first time using SDL Trados Studio, you should specify your settings,
translation memories, AutoSuggest dictionaries and termbases before you start.
How to Specify your Settings
Settings you specify in the Options dialog box are automatically
applied when you open a document or create a new project. You can specify
settings for file types, batch processing, AutoSuggest dictionaries,
translation memories, termbases and automated translation providers.

This gives an overview of the process, for detailed instructions

About Getting Started in Studio
Depending on what your

different workflows that you can follow.
Supported TM Formats
You can create, update and search translation memories in SDL
Trados Studio.
To use a server-based translation, you need to have access to an
installation of GroupShare (TM Server 2011 or 2014) or a previous version of
SDL TM Server.

Supported Termbase Formats
You can search and add terms to MultiTerm termbases in SDL Trados
Studio. If you have MultiTerm installed, you can create a termbase using that
application. SDL MultiTerm is a separate application.
