You can create, update and search translation memories in SDL
Trados Studio.
To use a server-based translation, you need to have access to an
installation of GroupShare (TM Server 2011 or 2014) or a previous version of
SDL TM Server.
Supported File-based
(Local) TMs
You can use file-based translation memories in the *.sdltm format.
These can be translation memories created in either of these versions:

SDL Trados Studio 2014 (all versions)
·
SDL Trados Studio 2011 (all versions)
·
SDL Trados Studio 2009 (all versions)
You can also use the following file-based TMs:

SDLX 2007
Supported Server-based
TMs
You can use server-based translation memories from:
·
SDL GroupShare (TM Server 2011 and 2014)
·
SDL TM Server 2009 SP3
·
SDL WorldServer 2011 (version 10.1, 10.2, 10.4) - read only access
·
SDLX SQL Server-based TMs
Upgrading Translation
Memories
You can also upgrade the following to the Studio 2014/2011 format
in the Upgrade Translation Memories wizard:

SDLX 2007 File-based Translation Memories (*.mdb)
·
SDLX 2007 SQL Server-based Translation Memories

NOTE

To upgrade TMs from this format, you need SDL
Trados Server Manager 2007 installed.
