How to Open a Translation Memory

If you already have default translation memories selected in the Options dialog box or translation memories selected in your Project Settings, they are automatically opened when you open a document for translation.
To open a translation memory in the Editor during translation:

1.     Click Project Settings on the Home tab. The Translation Memory and Automated Translation page is automatically displayed in the Project Settings dialog box.
2.     Select the required translation memories:
·         If you want to use a translation memory stored locally in a file, click Add and select File-based Translation Memory from the drop-down list.
·         If you want to use a translation memory stored on a server, click Add and select Server-based Translation Memory from the drop-down list. Select a translation memory from the Select Server-based Translation Memory dialog box.
·         If you want to use a WorldServer translation memory stored on a server, Click Add and select SDL WorldServer from the drop-down list. Select a translation memory or translation memory group from the Select WorldServer Translation Provider dialog box.
3.             The translation memories you have added appear on the Translation Memory and Automated Translation page and the Enabled and Lookup options are selected for the translation memory. When these options are selected, the translation memory is automatically searched during translation when a segment becomes the active segment.
4.             Click OK to save your changes and to close the dialog box.
The translation memory is now opened in the Editor.
